News and notes from around the interweb: Point.me now offers award search and points transfers-in-a-box to banks and other loyalty programs with (or wanting) transfer partners. And they automate account signup, moving points and redeeming the award for the program member end-to-end. That’s both good for the consumer in leveraging points transfers, simplifying the whole process and making their points more useful and also a better product than just the handshake current vendors offer in moving the points. Devil is in the details with the programs supported so far for transfers and autoamtic account signup, and some programs may not want to make things easier for members (points transfers can be higher cost than burning points at Amazon) but this puts them in a whole different vertical from other consumer award search tools. InKind is offering a $25 credit of a restaurant bill of at least $50 at participating restaurants for new members , and also a second $25 off $50 for existing members .
