Meronk outlasts Jarvis to win Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Adrian Meronk came from four shots behind to overtake Casey Jarvis and win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship by two shots on a gripping final day at St Andrews.

The LIV Golfer clinched the fifth DP World Tour title of his career on Sunday, with Meronk posting a final-round score of 68.

Jarvis held a two-stroke lead coming into day four at St Andrews, and after getting off to a fast start with back-to-back birdies on holes four and five, he slumped, making bogeys on holes nine and 11.

Meronk gave Jarvis a chance to snatch the title late after he carded a bogey on the 17th to cut a three-shot lead to two. However, Jarvis would also miss the green on the 17th and make bogey.

The South African needed an eagle on the 18th to force a play-off, but he couldn't get his putt to drop, ultimately finishing tied for second alongside Niklas Nørgaard after carding a final round 72.

The DP World Tour heads to Madrid next week for the Open de Espana. Watch all four rounds live on Sky Sports Golf, with first-round coverage commencing at 1pm on Thursday.
