Primavera Sound 2027 Lineup Has Phoebe Bridgers, Fontaines D.C., Doechii, More
Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival , generally known as the most consistent large-scale music festival on the planet, has unveiled the lineup for its 2027 edition. Next year's festival goes down June 3-5 at Parc del Fòrum, and the top three headliners listed on this year's poster are Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers, and Fontaines D.C. — three names that seem considerably lighter than what Primavera has booked over the last few years. Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival , generally known as the most consistent large-scale music festival on the planet, has unveiled the lineup for its 2027 edition. Next year's festival goes down June 3-5 at Parc del Fòrum, and the top three headliners listed on this year's poster are Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers, and Fontaines D.C., three names that seem considerably lighter than what Primavera has booked over the last few years.
This time, however, the festival has actually singled out 16 different acts as headliner-level artists, with all of their names in the same font size on the poster. In addition to those three, it's got Hayley Williams, FKA twigs, Turnstile, Massive Attack, the Chemical Brothers, Robyn, Caroline Polachek, Adéla, Lola Young, Bad Gyal, Prospa, and a festival-closing back-to-back DJ set from Skrillex and Ninajirachi. Massive Attack were among the acts who had to cancel their sets because of weather at last year's fest. Given their prominence on the lineup, it seems like a good bet that we'll soon get new records from Doechii and Caroline Polachek.
From what I've seen online, people seem a little underwhelmed by this year's slate of headliners. But it's never a good idea to go to Primavera just for the headliners, and this year's lineup runs deep, with very cool stuff even in the bottom rungs of the poster. Other acts at next year's fest include Pavement, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Tinashe, Underscores, Julien Baker, Angine de Poitrine, Chvrches, Weyes Blood, Converge, MUNA, Arca, Bleachers, ANOHNI, Dinosaur Jr., Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Vashti Bunyan, EsDeeKid, Isaiah Rashad, Kim Petras, DIIV, Westside Cowboy, Sophia Stel, Greg Freeman, Haute & Freddy, Boy Harsher, Underworld, Have A Nice Life, Metronomy, Brutalismus 3000 back-to-back with ISOXO, JT, Snow Strippers, Shygirl, Bicep, Joy Orbison, Juana Molina, Racing Mount Pleasant, ear, Castle Rat, Friko, Lip Critic, Gilla Band, @, Kelsey Lu, John Talabot, Full Of Hell, Mabe Fratti, Dove Ellis, Jesu, Twisted Teens, Jump Source, Tirzah, Victoryland, PISS, Andy Stott, B0YG1RL, Prostitute, DJ /rupture, and a "Sunday all-day takeover" from Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon.
A few names on that lineup deserve special recognition, like a reunion from math-rock greats Don Caballero, who haven't played live in any form since 2009. On Instagram, the band confirms that this is the lineup behind the 2000 album American Don . Simian Mobile Disco, the blog-house duo of James Ford and Jas Shaw, have been on hiatus since 2018, but they're coming back for this. Deerhunter's Bradford Cox just played his first Atlas Sound show in seven years at Philadelphia's Making Time, and he'll play Primavera, too.
In their press email, Primavera organizers urge you to "connect the dots" on the poster, so maybe there are some Easter eggs in there, too. Tickets go on sale 10/8. For more info, check here .
