Aerosmith are teasing an imminent return to the stage in a new video clip featuring frontman Steven Tyler. The upcoming shows appear to be taking place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The video clip shows Tyler on a ladder adding letters to the Hollywood Bowl’s marquee, with famed photographer Ross Halfin giving him a hand. The Aerosmith singer asks Halfin for an ampersand, exclaiming, “It’s ‘Aerosmith and Friends, Ross… Aerosmith and Friends!” The dates on the marquee read “Oct. 29” and “Nov. 1.”
Aerosmith essentially retired from touring due to a vocal injury sustained by Tyler only a few shows into the band’s farewell tour in September 2023. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act had planned to embark on a rescheduled tour in 2024, but it was canceled outright a month before it launched, with the band announcing its touring days were over due to Tyler’s injury.
However, Tyler has since performed at a few benefit shows and awards ceremonies, as well as the “Back to the Beginning” concert, with his voice sounding pretty strong .
Full details of Aerosmith’s comeback shows will be revealed on Tuesday, October 6th, at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET. Watch the teaser below.
