On Thursday (Oct. 8), Geordie Greep was accused of sexual assault via flyers handed out to fans waiting on line for his Vancouver show. The flyers claimed he was a rapist and read, "You know what you did this morning Oct 8th." His set was delayed almost two hours and he performed without his band. Now, he has canceled the rest of his US tour dates.
In Vancouver, the former Black Midi member addressed the allegations, saying he was at a house party and "made a move, and it didn't come off, and I really quickly, of course, apologized. It was a complete misunderstanding on my part, and I felt extremely bad. I feel extremely sorry and extremely upset about the whole situation. I would never rape a woman. I'm not a rapist. It's not how that went down."
Greep has canceled upcoming shows in Boise, Salt Lake City, Boulder, and Denver. The cancellations came without acknowledgment from Greep, with ticket-holders finding out the news via emails from the venues. His concert at The Slowdown in Omaha on Wednesday (Oct. 14) currently has no notice of a cancellation. He has European dates that kick off next month, but there's no word on those yet.
