Brussels joins growing list of European cities banning shared e-scooters over safety concerns

The Belgian capital will remove rental e-scooters from its streets from January 2027, citing rising accident rates, pavement clutter and their increasing use by organised crime groups. Shared bikes and e-bikes will remain available instead.
