Oasis and Fontaines D.C. have been halfheartedly beefing since 2024. It's very easy to beef with Oasis, as Liam Gallagher is always talking shit. Now, he's back to talking shit about the young Dublin band.

Fontaines D.C.'s Carlos O'Connell and Conor Deegan III first talked shit in a Studio Brussel interview posted Sept. 11, 2024, when they were asked if they were excited about the Oasis reunion. "Couldn't really give a shit, to be honest," O'Connell answered. However, Grian Chatten did comment on an Instagram post about it at the time, disagreeing with his bandmates: "I love Oasis. This is not my opinion," he wrote.

The very next day, someone asked Liam about Fontaines possibly being one of the promised "established acts" opening the reunion tour, to which he replied , "Fuck them little spunkbubbles I've seen better dressed ROADIES," he wrote. "They look like a shit EMF." It was unclear if Liam ever saw Fontaines' interview, as it didn't even get widely distributed until after Liam's tweets, but some people thought so. (Oasis went with Cast, Richard Ashcroft, Cage The Elephant opening different shows in the UK, Ireland, and Americas. Ball Park Music were support in Australia, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Otoboke Beaver in Japan.)

Then, earlier this week, Liam replied to a tweet asking why Fontaines didn't open for Oasis: "There not good enough they don't have any tunes," he said . Fontaines just released their polarizing new record Dopamine Chamber , which some are claiming doesn't have any tunes.

The week's most important music stories and least important music memes.
