These days, Kai Slater puts out his Sharp Pins music on the K Records imprint Perennial. Today, Perennial announced plans to reissue Mod Mayday 23 , a Sharp Pins tape that Slater released in 2023, when he was a mere teenager. Along with that reissue, Slater has also hit us with the new loose track "Saturday Sun," a swaggering piece of garage-pop that brings a timeless and effortless shimmy.
