Two staples of late ’90s / early 2000s MTV came together on Saturday night, as Limp Bizkit brought out comedian Tom Green for a performance of “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” at Ottawa Bluesfest.
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst introduced the Ottawa-area native, who walked onto the stage sporting denim overalls and a bushy gray beard. After some banter with the audience, Green joined Durst in singing the Bizkit hit, putting his all into the high-energy song.
The Tom Green Show aired on MTV in 1999 and 2000, at the same time Limp Bizkit were dominating the channel’s video countdown program Total Request Live ( TRL ).
These days, Green lives on a farm in Ottawa Valley, and recently launched the Crave talk series The Tom Green Farm and a companion podcast, The Tom Green Farmcast .
