Dumbo Health turns sleep tracking into physician-led care

Miami-based Dumbo Health has launched a membership platform that combines wearable data and blood tests with direct physician treatment, betting the digital health market must shift from tracking metrics to delivering clinical care.

Miami-based startup Dumbo Health has launched a nationwide membership platform called Sleep Longevity. The service merges wearable data, 51 sleep-focused blood biomarkers, and physician interpretation into a single system designed to diagnose and treat sleep disorders. It introduces a proprietary metric, SleepLongevityAge, which aims to show whether a user's sleep patterns are accelerating their biological aging.

The launch represents a potential inflection point for the broader digital health sector. For years, consumer technology companies have profited by selling hardware and subscriptions that generate vast amounts of biometric data but offer little in the way of medical intervention. Dumbo Health is betting that the next phase of growth in the longevity economy lies not in more dashboards, but in connecting consumer data directly to clinical pathways.

While Dumbo Health operates a US-based network, its underlying business model carries direct implications for European markets. Health systems across the continent are grappling with how to manage the downstream costs of poor sleep, particularly as wearable adoption surges among consumers. If this data-to-treatment model proves scalable and cost-effective, it could pressure European insurers and digital health firms to move beyond basic tracking subscriptions toward integrated clinical care.

The company is initially focusing on sleep apnea, a condition with a notoriously low diagnosis rate. Roughly 90% of women with sleep apnea are never diagnosed because their symptoms, such as fatigue and brain fog, are often misattributed to stress or hormonal changes. By combining standard blood work with wearable tracking, the platform targets this undiagnosed population before their conditions escalate into costly chronic illnesses.

The company’s structure was shaped by direct frustration with the existing medical infrastructure. Co-founder Mohamed Haouache was diagnosed with sleep apnea but faced months of navigating disconnected providers and sleep-lab waiting lists. “I was handed a device and left to figure it out alone,” Haouache said. “That is exactly the experience Dumbo Health was built to end.”

The startup plans to expand its clinical pathways into insomnia, women’s sleep health, pediatric sleep, and cardiovascular prevention. Its ultimate success will depend on whether it can consistently deliver faster clinical outcomes than traditional systems. “Our ambition is to build the Function Health of sleep,” said Haouache. “Not a company that measures sleep, but one that improves it.”
