Never Alone: photographing European rave culture, 1997 to 2004
In their new book, photographers Cheyenne Clementi and Valentina Morandi collect over 160 images that document their formative years in Europe’s free-party and rave scene at the turn of the millennium. From throbbing speaker stacks in fields and warehouses to the cosy confines of the buses and vans they lived in, and all the quiet moments in between, Never Alone captures not just an underground counter-culture, but familial sense of community that was so fundamental to it.
