Tottenham defeat MK Dons in pre-season opener as new signing Fernandes scores

Tottenham Hotspur secured a winning start to their pre-season schedule with a victory against League One side MK Dons. Tottenham missed a significant opportunity to extend their lead in the 76th minute. Williams-Barnett provided a pass over the top, and Yang took a first-time touch to bypass the goalkeeper, only to shoot wide from an open goal.

Dubravka produced a reflex save to tip a close-range header over the bar in the 79th minute. The victory ensures Tottenham conclude their opening pre-season fixture with a win. It also marked a successful day for the club's new signings.
