Bazooka Fest 2026 Unveils Full Lineup With Destroyer, Stephin Merritt, & More

A few weeks back, Brooklyn's Bazooka Fest announced their very cool 2026 lineup topped by scrappy Ohio indie favorites Cloud Nothings and the reunited Times New Viking. Today, that lineup has been expanded.

Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields, recently named one of the greatest living American songwriters by the New York Times , was curiously listed beneath the Ohio bands on the previous poster; now we know he'll be co-headlining Bazooka's second night along with one of Canada's greatest living songwriters, Destroyer's Dan Bejar, also playing solo. Also appearing: Sad13, Colleen Green, Joanna Sternberg, Winston Hightower, Kiwi Jr., 2nd Grade, Asher White, PARKiNG, Josephine Network, Chime School, TV Buddah, and more.

Bazooka is the project of former Matador A&R director Jake Whitener, whose band Sunshine Convention is also playing. He shared this statement about his intentions:

Bazooka really is my earnest attempt at putting together a festival for New York City that feels special and intimate for both the artists playing and the people attending. I always heard about festivals like All Tomorrow’s Parties or Athens Pop Fest that were super curated and featured these iconic artists playing in smaller venues alongside these exciting new bands that they directly influenced. It seemed like such a beautiful way to celebrate the ever evolving nature of underground rock and pop.

I think having a line-up that crosses generations is so exciting because you can show people that the golden days of indie music are still happening, and I wanted Bazooka to be a place to celebrate that.

Bazooka Fest 2026 will take place Aug. 22 and 23 at the The Meadows and The Wood Shop in Brooklyn. Get tickets here and peruse the full lineup below.
