Krallice Announce New Album Scour Order: Hear “Living Useless Ritual”
Krallice release a lot of music. Mick Barr and Colin Marston formed the experimental New York black metal band back in 2007, and their self-titled debut came out a year later. Since then, they have cranked out a ton of records. Today, they announce plans for their first-ever European tour, which is crazy to think about, and they also announce plans to follow 2024's Inorganic Rites with a new double LP called Scour Order . Krallice release a lot of music. Mick Barr and Colin Marston formed the experimental New York black metal band back in 2007, and their self-titled debut came out a year later. Since then, they have cranked out a ton of records. Today, they announce plans for their first-ever European tour, which is crazy to think about, and they also announce plans to follow 2024's Inorganic Rites with a new double LP called Scour Order .
Scour Order only has eight tracks, so if they need to spread those songs across two LPs, then you already know the songs will be crazy long. That's not really the case with lead single "Living Useless Ritual." It's about six minutes, which is Ramones-level compared to a lot of Krallice's stuff. As always, this band makes dizzy, immersive music. The players are all total virtuosos, but it's hard to even notice that when you get into the time-warping rush of the sound.
