Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) is advancing its European strategy by staging a major UK versus USA boxing card in Birmingham this August, while simultaneously plotting the next commercial chapter for its star attraction, Jake Paul. MVP chief executive Nakisa Bidarian confirmed the YouTuber-turned-boxer will return to the sport, outlining a roster of potential opponents that heavily features European talent.

The promotional company is leveraging Paul’s massive global draw to penetrate the lucrative British combat sports market. The upcoming MVPW-06 event, scheduled for August 29 and broadcast live on Sky Sports, headlines a matchup between Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron, alongside Caroline Dubois. This represents a significant push by the US-based promoter to capture European broadcasting revenue and live event ticket sales.

Bidarian’s matchmaking strategy for Paul underscores the financial realities of modern boxing economics. While Paul’s shortlist includes former UFC star Francis Ngannou, WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia, and Edgar Berlanga, Bidarian specifically highlighted British fighters Chris Eubank Jr and Tommy Fury. The MVP CEO noted that opposing fighters must remain realistic, warning that "sometimes their eyes are bigger than what the box office affords us to pay."

This financial calculus follows Paul’s December bout against Anthony Joshua, which ended when Joshua broke Paul’s jaw in two places. Bidarian argued that Paul provided a stiffer commercial and athletic test for Joshua than the heavyweight's recent opponent, Kristian Prenga. Joshua dropped Prenga twice in the first round of their Saturday fight before securing a second-round knockout, but Bidarian insisted "Jake Paul won more than the guy on Saturday night won."

The Saturday bout marked Joshua’s first return to the ring since a fatal car crash in Nigeria seven months ago that killed his friends Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. Bidarian expressed deep respect for Joshua, who dedicated his victory to the deceased pair. The MVP leader stated he sent messages of support to Joshua throughout the week, acknowledging the heavy emotional toll of the tragedy on the British heavyweight.

By keeping Paul active and targeting high-profile European matchups, MVP is positioning itself as a major player in the transatlantic boxing economy. The promoter's willingness to publicly discuss the limits of fighter paydays signals a disciplined, revenue-driven approach to building its roster in both North America and Europe.
