Enterprise AI security and pricing models face scrutiny as autonomous agents reshape tech

As artificial intelligence increasingly makes autonomous decisions within sensitive corporate systems, industry leaders are gathering in San Francisco to address the urgent security gaps and rewritten business models affecting global tech markets.

Industry leaders will convene in San Francisco from October 13 to 15 to address how artificial intelligence is fundamentally disrupting enterprise security, pricing, and go-to-market strategies. The upcoming AI Stage at the TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 event, presented by Google for Startups, will focus on the operational challenges companies face as AI adoption accelerates.

For European investors and technology firms, these developments signal a critical shift in how software is valued and secured. The rapid commoditization of AI models is forcing startups to rethink their pricing structures while simultaneously exposing vulnerabilities in traditional corporate security frameworks. This reckoning directly impacts European technology firms seeking to scale or integrate these tools across borders.

A primary concern is the deployment of AI agents making autonomous decisions inside sensitive enterprise systems. Arsalan Tavakoli, Co-founder and SVP of Field Engineering at Databricks, will address how traditional security frameworks were not built for this speed. He will outline the observability, governance, and architectural requirements necessary for enterprises to trust AI deployments.

Beyond enterprise infrastructure, visual artificial intelligence is advancing from basic demonstrations to real-time inference and physical reasoning. Dean Leitersdorf, Co-founder and CEO of Decart, and Amit Jain, Co-founder and CEO of Luma AI, are scheduled to discuss the implications of generation crossing into genuine intelligence. This progression threatens to outpace current regulatory and safety standards, a particular concern for European markets operating under strict data governance rules.

The disruption has also spawned entirely new professional categories, most notably the go-to-market engineer. Kareem Amin, Co-founder and CEO of Clay, will highlight how this role has emerged as one of the fastest-growing in the technology sector over the past two years. Independent practitioners in this space are already building million-dollar businesses by redesigning growth strategies for an AI-native world.

The gathering is expected to draw more than 10,000 startup, technology, and venture capital leaders to the Moscone Center. As the industry prepares to debate these unresolved issues, the pressure mounts on companies to rebuild their security infrastructure and sales playbooks from the ground up.
