Chris Stapleton has joined the ranks of Jack White , Orville Peck , Vin Diesel , and more in covering Dolly Parton following her recent passing . During the country star’s show at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, on Wednesday, August 26th, he performed a stirring cover of “I Will Always Love You” as the crowd swayed and sang along.
Stapleton and Parton have a direct connection, collaborating on a cover of Bob Seger’s “Night Moves” for Parton’s 2023 album, Rockstar . According to KBLB-FM , Parton called the song “one of my favorite things I did in this rock album.”
