Piu is Vancouver Island-based Priyanka Chakrabarti, whose music presents a thoughtful blend of synths, beats, and field recordings inspired by Indian raga and folk music. She's been promoting her forthcoming album Milao with advance singles including the serenely droning title track and the woozy, beat-driven "Jaare," which reminds me of solo Thom Yorke.
