Charley Hull debuts dramatic new look at LPGA's FM Championship

Charley Hull returned to the tour this week at TPC Boston sporting a new look.

Charley Hull returned to the tour this week at TPC Boston sporting a new look.

"Gone to the dark side," she wrote on Instagram of her new brunette style.

Golf Channel on-course reporter Karen Stupples noted on the broadcast that Hull's putting coach, Nick Soto, didn't recognize her and walked right past.

The LPGA star, known for her typically blonde locks, returned to the LPGA at the FM Championship for the first time since contending at the AIG Women's British Open , where she tied for sixth. The week after Royal Lytham, Hull finished runner-up to 17-year-old Anna Huang at the PIF London Championship on the Ladies European Tour.

Currently No. 7 in the world, Hull went viral at Lytham after a lottery prank on her caddie turned highly controversial.

Confirmed and promoted to compete in this week's KPMG Women's Irish Open, the English star pulled out of the event at The K Club to compete in Boston, where the purse is among the highest on tour at $4.4 million.

Hull, 30, is set to play in her eighth Solheim Cup for Team Europe in two weeks at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. Her career record is a stout 15–9–3.
