Chelsea agree transfers of Mudryk and Adarabioyo to Tottenham and Sanchez to Como

Chelsea have accepted transfer offers from Tottenham Hotspur for winger Mykhailo Mudryk and defender Tosin Adarabioyo, alongside a bid from Italian side Como for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. The three players are now expected to leave Stamford Bridge pending the agreement of personal terms.

Tottenham are prioritizing the acquisition of the 25-year-old Ukrainian international to reunite him with his former manager, Roberto de Zerbi. Mudryk originally joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for an initial £61m after previously playing under De Zerbi.

The winger has not featured in a competitive match since November 2024. He served a suspension following an adverse finding for the banned substance meldonium, though he has been eligible to play football since July.

Spurs will also secure the 28-year-old defender Adarabioyo on a permanent deal. This arrival is intended to replace Kevin Danso, who is poised to join Sunderland on an initial loan.

In Italy, Como have agreed a season-long loan move for the 28-year-old Sanchez. The Italian club previously invested £31m to sign defender Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea earlier in the current transfer window.

Sanchez was made available for either a loan or permanent transfer after committing two errors in Chelsea’s opening Premier League fixture at Fulham. Those mistakes directly resulted in the Blues conceding two goals.

To address the vacancy in goal, Chelsea have already moved to sign Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa for £7.5m. This indicates a swift reallocation of capital within the club's squad planning to mitigate on-field risks.

Beyond these confirmed departures, uncertainty remains regarding the future of midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who is attracting interest from Manchester City. No formal offer has been submitted to date for the player.

Any potential exit for Fernandez would strictly depend on Chelsea further strengthening their squad and securing a substantial transfer fee. The club has previously valued the midfielder at £120m, highlighting the high financial stakes and asset management strategy still active in their broader transfer portfolio.
