Rush adds North American shows and confirms extensive 2027 European tour dates
The rock band has added multiple North American shows and confirmed a broad 2027 European leg, signaling resilient consumer demand for major live music events.
Rush has added extra North American dates to its current Fifty Something tour, including stops in Houston, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh. The group, featuring Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Anika Nilles, also confirmed an extensive run of European shows scheduled for early 2027.
The musicians initially planned a conservative schedule with ample recovery time to assess their touring capacity. However, the band noted that "life is nothing if not surprising," adding that they are coping well with the demands of the road and wish to visit additional cities that have historically supported them.
The 2027 European itinerary represents a substantial commitment to the continental live entertainment market, spanning multiple major economies. The tour will hit Paris and Amsterdam in late February, followed by a heavy concentration of German dates in Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, and Stuttgart throughout February and March.
The United Kingdom leg includes multiple nights in Glasgow, Manchester, and London, with three consecutive shows scheduled at the O2 Arena in mid-March. The continental sweep will conclude in April with performances in Kraków, Milan, Basel, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki.
Tickets for the newly announced North American dates will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 4 at 10am local time, with presales beginning on September 1. This North American expansion complements a previously announced series of South American dates for the new year.
Despite this global footprint, the band has not announced any plans for Japan, where they last performed four shows during the Grace Under Pressure tour in 1984. Furthermore, there are currently no scheduled performances for Australia or New Zealand, two countries the group has never visited.
The current tour originally kicked off in June at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. This location holds historical significance as the scene of the band's final show with the late drummer Neil Peart in 2015. The decision to expand the schedule underscores the sustained market demand for established live acts.
