The forward registered 11 league goals for Burnley last season prior to their relegation. He has continued this form, scoring three times in the opening four matches of the current campaign.
Ipswich manager Gary O’Neil expressed strong satisfaction with the acquisition, noting the player's impressive initial season. O’Neil highlighted the striker's quality and experience, describing him as a great addition as the squad continues to strengthen.
From a market perspective, this transfer illustrates the aggressive capital deployment characteristic of clubs returning to the Premier League. His arrival follows a mixed start for the team. Ipswich opened their top-flight return with a 2-1 win over Sunderland before suffering a 5-2 defeat to Manchester United at the weekend.
