Skrillex and Chase & Status have dropped a surprise new collaborative single.
An unreleased version of ‘Essa Ta Quente’ was first teased during the trio's joint performance at Boomtown 2026 last month, with online fans rushing to suggest a release might be on the cards . Flowdan also made a surprise appearance during the same set.
"We’ve been friends with Sonny for years and finally, we are releasing a collaboration that’s long overdue. Born out of our love for Brazilian rap and baile funk, we’re always looking to explore new styles and push new sounds," Chase & Status wrote on Instagram .
Check out 'Essa Ta Quente' via Apple Music below. The track appears on the forthcoming album from Chase & Status, 'Generic Everything' , which is out 9th October and also features J Hus, Little Simz and other contributors.
Skrillex recently released ‘Mirage’ with emerging UKG star MPH, while Chase & Status have also released new album singles 'Gone Too Far' with Debbie and J Hus and IRAH collab, 'Disgruntled' .
In June, the UK duo made an appearance in the James Bond game 007: First Light , getting behind the decks for a virtual DJ set .
