Shygirl announces new album, 'Swallow!', shares 'Lucky (hymn)': Listen
The follow-up to 2022's 'Nymph' is set to be released on Friday, 6th November
Shygirl has shared details of her second studio album, 'Swallow!'.
Set for release via Because Music on Friday, 6th November, the new LP follows on from 2022 debut 'Nymph' . A full tracklist and breakdown of potential guest artists is yet to be revealed, though it is known that she largely made the album with producers Karma Kid and Casey MQ.
The new record meshes "indie songwriting" with "the electronica [Shygirl] came from", according to a press release. It was written at a "pivotal coming of age moment in her life", following the breakout success of her previous album and the experience of falling in love.
To mark the announcement of 'Swallow!', Shygirl has shared a video for new single 'Lucky (hymn)', which you can watch below. The visual was co-directed by the artist herself with director Austen Taylor Pease, and stars Shygirl alongside another character previously established in the video for recent single 'Alyse'.
Last year, the artist shared a fifth anniversary edition of her EP 'ALIAS' , featuring Nick León, George Riley and Sega Bodega.
She also guested in Charli xcx's film The Moment at the start of this year.
