Yves Tumor has been removed from a US tour alongside Baltimore band Turnstile following allegations of abusive behaviour and sexual assault.
The experimental musician, real name Sean Lee Bowie, was accused of sexual assault by an unnamed woman in August , who shared a photo of a bruise that she had allegedly sustained.
New York DJ Angel Money then came forward on X, claiming that she was groped by Bowie at a party, with several other musicians including Juliana Huxtable and Kidä also sharing their experiences with the musician via X, alleging "unhinged" behaviour.
Bowie subsequently responded to the allegations, threatening "extreme legal action" against the accusers. The musician also said that the allegations were "completely heartbreaking" and "100% untrue".
"Nothing means more to me right now than my close friends and lovers reaching out in support and helping me combat these not only false, but completely disgusting, salacious lies being spread about me by someone I barely know," they said in a statement.
Bowie has now been removed from a US tour alongside Turnstile, per Stereogum , who reported that Yves Tumor’s name no longer appears on the line-up of their respective shows.
While the tour began on Wednesday, September 9, Yves Tumor was only slated to perform three dates on the schedule, including shows in Toronto, Portland, and North Carolina.
According to Stereogum , Canadian punk band No Warning and Florida death metal crew Obituary were revealed as replacements for Yves Tumor.
The tour, which already features a slew of artists including Mall Grab, Saya Gray, Thundercat, Slayyyter and Vince Staples, is set to continue until the end of October.
