Listen to Four Tet's Boomtown 2026 set via BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix
The artist's standout set on the HYDRO XL stage was recorded in full to be aired by the BBC
Four Tet has mixed the latest instalment of BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix.
The 90-minute set was captured at this year's Boomtown festival, where the DJ and producer, real name Kieran Hebden, played on the new 20,000-capacity HYDRO XL stage. Powered entirely by green hydrogen, replacing traditional diesel generators, the vast new set-up at the Hampshire festival also hosted sets from Skrillex, Floating Points and Groove Armada, among others, at this year's event.
Hebden's full set was captured in both audio and video form, with the former available to watch below via YouTube. The audio-only recording, meanwhile, was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 as part of its weekly Essential Mix programme at midnight BST on Saturday (12th September).
The recording sees him tear through a number of his own productions, alongside tracks from various other friends and peers such as Galcher Lustwerk, Joy Orbison, Sammy Virji and PinkPantheress. Watch the full set below.

Last month, he shared audio and video from his 2025 set at London's Alexandra Palace via YouTube and Apple Music.
