John Summit has shared a statement after recieving backlash and alleged harassment when his Argentina show appeared to be cut short over the weekend.
While the US DJ said that he played his standard two-hour show at Mandarine Park in Buenos Aires on Saturday, September 12, fans were reportedly told that he would perform for a full three hours.
Summit reportedly played until 5:20AM, 40 minutes before the event was due to end at 6:AM, We Rave You reports, leaving fans in the dark at the end of the night.
Following the show, those in attendance took to John Summit’s Reddit page to criticise the short performance, with one writing: "Shitty move on his part. Still kinda shocked."
Summit then responded via his official Reddit account, writing: "Promoter should’ve booked a closer after me if they wanted a party going on that much later."
"I gave it my best, sad to see how unappreciative the crowd was about it, but it is what it is. I always give my 100% I guarantee that, but I’m really dead rn," he wrote.

Summit also then took to Instagram to comment on the situation, where he claimed to have received “hateful” messages, including messages "telling me to go kill myself all because I played a two-hour 20 minute set", he said.
"Not gonna lie, touring is tough, as glamorous as it looks on social media. It really does have its highs and lows," he said. "The time away from home, getting no sleep and always being on planes/airports really makes my mental health take a big hit."
He thanked the fans who showed up at his Argentina show “for the music”, but asked those who were “incredibly rude and hateful” in the aftermath to “never come to one of my shows again”.
