Apple opens 600-capacity venue in London

Apple is opening a music venue inside London’s Battersea Power Station.
Apple vice president Oliver Schusser told BBC News that the venue’s audio and video recording setup gives Apple Music Hall “more cameras and speakers than any venue of its size, anywhere in the world”.
“We have really no interest in trying to be in the way of anyone else, and that's one of the main reasons it’s a smaller space,” he added.
Alongside the main performance hall, Apple Music Hall will house two professional recording and mixing studios, as well as a dedicated broadcast production room. Apple Music Radio’s London-based hosts and shows have also moved to new studios at Battersea Power Station, where they will now broadcast live.
“At Apple Music, we care deeply about music, the artists who make it, and their life stories”, Apple Music global creative director Zane Lowe said in a press statement. “We’re always looking for new opportunities to connect the artists and the fans because we are fans. What better way to celebrate this relationship than a new music venue where we get to experience amazing music in an amazing space and share it with the world.”
Details of the venue’s opening schedule and programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
Apple Music implemented Transparency Tags to declare music and art generated with AI. The disclosure has launched as optional with plans to make it mandatory forthcoming.
