Danish energy prices in September highest since 2022

Little sun and weak winds combined with high gas prices as a result of geopolitical uncertainty has pushed electricity prices up, making September the most expensive month for electricity since December 2022.
The average raw energy price this month was 1.07 kroner per kilowatt hour east of the Storebælt bridge, and 1.05 kroner per kilowatt hour west of the bridge.
That's known as the raw energy price as consumers also have to pay tax, fees and tariffs.
"Unfortunately, there hasn't been enough wind and sun to push prices down in September," OK's commercial director Troels Skipper said in a press release.
In September last year, electricity cost just 0.62 kroner per kilowatt hour east of the Storebælt bridge, and 0.54 kroner in the west.
