Charlize Theron, Grace Van Patten, Este Haim Toast Veuve Clicquot’s Club Solaire in Venice Beach
Charlize Theron, Grace Van Patten, Este Haim and more attended the opening of Veuve Clicquot’s Club Solaire in Venice Beach.
“I love having a reason to come down to Venice because I don’t do it myself enough,” Charlize Theron said Thursday evening at Veuve Clicquot ’s cocktail party overlooking the Venice Beach boardwalk.
The Champagne house has transformed 619 Ocean Front Walk into Club Solaire, a two-story space for its three-day Venice Beach activation , with long communal tables dressed with flowers and candles, sculptural pendant lights overhead and flashes of Veuve Clicquot ’s signature yellow throughout. Upstairs, guests gathered on the ocean-facing rooftop, where Este Haim was behind the DJ booth and glasses of Yellow Label circulated. “Anything that encourages and celebrates getting community together right now is important, and I think that’s really what tonight is about,” Theron continued. “It’s about working together and having this be for some real good, but also celebratory. We need more of that.” You May Also Like
The activation supports Regarding Her, an organization focused on women-owned food and beverage businesses, and the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, with the weekend featuring chef-led meals, workshops and public boardwalk activations.
Theron arrived in an oversize ivory Hermès knit worn with a long cream skirt and white Bottega Veneta lace-up shoes, carrying a blue Hermès Cargo Birkin. Grace Van Patten also leaned into the beachy palette in a long silk cream dress, reuniting with her “Tell Me Lies” costar Cat Missal on the rooftop.
Also in attendance were True Whitaker, Arden Cho, Ashley Madekwe, Christina Hendricks, Nadine Bhabha, Paris Brosnan and Drew Ray Tanner. Theron and Haim posed for photos together in front of the DJ booth, where Haim played a mix of throwbacks and hits, with her parents among the crowd.
Veuve Clicquot is hosting Club Solaire instead of its Los Angeles Polo Classic this year, which also did not take place in 2025. The activation is the house’s latest Solaire concept in L.A., following its 2022 Solaire Culture Exhibition on Rodeo Drive, which marked Veuve Clicquot’s 250th anniversary and celebrated the legacy of Madame Clicquot.
Running through Sunday, Club Solaire centers on food and music, with six ticketed experiences created with culinary collective We Are Ona and participants including Michelin-starred chef Jordan Kahn, Folderol founder Jessica Yang, Only the Wild Ones founder Heather Tierney, Don’t Let Disco founder Ashley Moubayed, photographer Sela Shiloni and James Beard Award-nominated chef Fátima Juárez.
The weekend includes breakfasts, a chef-led shared table, a four-course dinner and a jewelry-making workshop, while the boardwalk will host public activations for guests 21 and older, including a Regarding Her Champagne Bar and a Folderol ice cream pop-up.
