Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to return to Argentina in 2027. According to an announcement from Music Gol Festival, the California rock band will headline the event alongside The Human League and Happy Mondays on June 12th in Rosario, marking their first-ever performance in the Argentine city.
The lineup was unveiled on Tuesday through the festival’s Instagram account, with the announcement also shared by Rosario Central, one of the city’s most prominent football clubs, whose home stadium will host the event. Local news outlet Rosario3 also reported the news, attributing the announcement to Argentine promoter Underdog. Additional artists will be revealed at a later date, according to the organizers. The festival announcement has not yet been independently confirmed through the bands’ official channels.
Red Hot Chili Peppers have a long history of performing in Argentina, dating back to their first visit in 1993, when they played Buenos Aires’ Obras Sanitarias. They have since returned on several occasions, including appearances at Lollapalooza Argentina. Their most recent visit came in November 2023, when they performed two shows at River Plate Stadium, marking guitarist John Frusciante’s first performances in the country with the band since 2002.
The Human League, meanwhile, toured North America with Soft Cell and Alison Moyet in 2026 and are scheduled to bring their “Generations” tour to Australia and New Zealand in early 2027 . Happy Mondays have spent much of 2026 celebrating the 35th anniversary of their landmark album Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches , including a tour of Australia and New Zealand and an expanded reissue of the record.
