With a clear vision, open heart and guitar in hand, Paris Jackson plugs into pure emotion at the source, tracing a lasting mark in the shape of a scar that's cut into the skin by her raw instrumentation and relatable lyrics.

Jackson introduced her artistry on 2020's Wilted , which was crafted with Manchester Orchestra's Andy Hull and Robert McDowell. On 2022's "lighthouse," she teamed with producer Butch Walker and tapped Mike McCready of Pearl Jam for its guitar solo. Now, she turns the page on her next creative chapter with the singles "zombies in love" and "teenage drama."

Margaret Glaspy with Anna Tivel The Mod Club , September 16 Get tickets :

In an era of excess and endless distraction, the New York-based singer/songwriter Margaret Glaspy rejects the noise in favour of something far more essential. On the self-possessed title track for her new album I Am Both, Glaspy offers an ardent refusal of any outside pressure to compromise her multidimensionality.

"I wrote 'Am Both' a while ago; the story is based on a female character that I look up to deeply-a woman who contains multitudes while seeing reality very clearly," she shared. "It can feel safer to try to fit myself into a category, but I find that embracing my own complexity is much healthier for me."

The singer-songwriter returns to Toronto to play the Mod Club on September 16 with support from Anna Tivel.

Way Dynamic with Star Moles TD Music Hall , September 22 Get tickets :

Way Dynamic, the solo project of Melbourne's Dylan Young, released his third album Massive Shoe last summer. Described as a record that's "playful and understated, luminous and textured," Massive Shoe was produced and largely played by Young, who moonlights in Melbourne's beloved Cool Sounds and Good Morning and has played drums with Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra.

Earning glowing testimonials from Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield and Elton John, Young's songs don't shy away from sentiment, or equally from silliness; on any given song he might evoke a cruisey trip through hell or earnestly lament a miscommunication. Whether the journey is to space or along the Seine, we're very much along for the ride.

Young will play the TD Music Hall on September 22 with Star Moles.

Nick Hakim sits somewhere between an analytical philosopher, mystic poet, and abstract painter. To hear him speak of music is to encounter someone who fully understands its power, who has been moved by its magic and seen its miracles. To hear him play is to feel these truisms in live time, which is a spirit that the New York-based songwriter has carried in his music-both as composer and collaborator.

From early LPs like 2017's Green Twins and 2020's Will This Make Me Good to his forthcoming new album, I Can See (out July 24), Hakim has pursued the truth in every note he's written, every lyric he's sung. His truth, though, is more akin to the abstract and intangible than the factual. It's a cosmic assuredness that manifests throughout I Can See ; a belief that the good in the universe is good for a reason.

Luna is a New York band formed in 1991 by singer/guitarist Dean Wareham after the breakup of Galaxie 500, and the band made seven studio albums before disbanding in 2005. After a ten-year break, they reunited and toured in 2015, and in 2017 released a new LP, A Sentimental Education, and an EP of instrumentals, A Place of Greater Safety .

feeble little horse are naturally delighted to present their third full-length LP, bitknot . The album was written, arranged, produced and recorded by Sebastian Kinsler, Lydia Slocum, and Jake Kelley across their respective homes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A spirited investigation into the unnatural space created between human nature and a culture of convenience, a synthesis of dirt and digital, bitknot creates a language wherein one can re-imbue a sanctity of interdependence away from consumptive "self-sufficiency" and materialism.

This negotiation is explored in the album's production, the buoyancy of Kinsler's arrangements provide a perfectly balanced surface tension for the weight of Slocum's meandering introspection as they playfully harmonize against saccharine hooks, walls of noise, a supercharged car battery's worth of synths and samples dropped in the ocean of their guitar-driven songwriting framework. The album also features some of Kelley's most laser-focused drums to date that create a sonic chimaera developing in the early aughts as some unknown, chromatic future.

Critics often draw comparisons between the Tallest Man on Earth and Bob Dylan, citing similarities in both songwriting and vocal style. Born Kristian Matsson, the artist has acknowledged Dylan's influence on his music, revealing that he started listening to him at the age of fifteen. Fascinated by Dylan's covers, he delved into their origins, which gradually introduced him to early American folk artists like Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie.

However, Matsson is quick to distance himself from being a part of any specific tradition, stating, "I just want to do what feels natural to me. This is how I play, and this is how I write songs."

Blondshell is the project of Sabrina Teitelbaum, whose razor-sharp songwriting pairs crunch guitars and colossal hooks with specificity, dry humour and devastating clarity of the best alternative rock. Her critically acclaimed self-titled 2023 debut album established her as one of the most lauded new artists in years, while her 2025 follow-up, If You Asked For A Picture , drew on touchstones from Queens of the Stone Age to Smashing Pumpkins.

Across 150+ shows, late-night TV performances, major festival stages, sold-out headline runs, plus a 2025 companion release, Another Picture , Blondshell has cemented her status as one of the most vital songwriters of her generation.

strongboi Phoenix Concert Theatre , October 28 Get tickets :

strongboi is a fresh project born in Berlin from a fiery collaboration between Ziv Yamin and Alice Phoebe Lou . Originally starting out as a passion project between two close friends, strongboi has now evolved into a full band project that still emulates it's lo-fi beginnings, but whose live shows take you on a journey from disco dance tunes to jazzy ballads, all forms of expression are on the table.

strongboi released their debut self titled album in 2023. The album is a fun and wild offering from the duo, spanning many emotions and influences but very much their own, as they ready themselves to take these songs to the stage.

The duo will make their Toronto headlining debut at the Phoenix on October 28.
