Like Mike pauses touring for health, Dimitri Vegas to headline solo

Belgian DJ Like Mike has halted all touring due to health issues hours before a scheduled Tomorrowland headline set, forcing one of electronic music's most commercially successful duos to pivot to solo performances to protect its summer schedule.

Belgian DJ Like Mike has withdrawn from all upcoming live dates, including a scheduled main-stage performance at Tomorrowland which kicked off today in Boom, Belgium. The artist, who forms one half of the duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, announced the decision on Instagram today, 17th July, citing ongoing health challenges and medical advice.

The late notice tests the operational flexibility of Europe's live events sector. For a touring brand of this scale, an abrupt cancellation could trigger complex logistical and financial disruptions across multiple international markets.

The decision to maintain the booked schedule with Dimitri Vegas performing solo mitigates these risks. This pivot is critical for an act that operates at the highest commercial tier of the global electronic music industry. Ranked No. 4 in DJ Mag's 2025 Top 100 DJs poll, the pair have spent nearly two decades headlining major international events like EDC Las Vegas.

They also host a celebrated Tomorrowland-branded residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, a major commercial driver for the Spanish island's nightlife economy. Keeping these live commitments alive under a solo banner protects associated ticket revenues, sponsor agreements and ongoing relationships with international venues.

"Cancelling these shows, including Tomorrowland, is a decision I have not made lightly. I would never do this unless I truly felt it was necessary," Like Mike wrote. While live touring is paused, he confirmed he will continue his creative work in the studio, ensuring the duo's recorded music pipeline remains active during his recovery.

"I’m incredibly grateful that my brother Dimitri will continue doing what he does best and will keep bringing the energy to every stage," he shared. Tomorrowland's main stage opened today with sets from David Guetta, FISHER, Boris Brejcha, Maddix, Jazzy, Lost Frequencies and Illenium, proceeding without disruption to its wider schedule.
