Church reshapes Spain's history: did Moors and Christians ever live in peace?
The Cerro de la Virgen site in Calasparra, in south-eastern Spain, shows that a Christian community kept up its liturgical life until the 9th century. Archaeologists say the find points to a more harmonious coexistence between Christians and Muslims than once assumed.
