New Los Angeles club, ORIGIN, opens this summer

A new nightclub is set to open in Downtown LA’s Arts District later this year.
Expected to launch in late summer or early autumn, ORIGIN Los Angeles is the brainchild of Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the team behind LA nightlife brands including SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, alongside events such as Brunch Electronik , The Maze, and Resolution. The club has been billed as “a purpose-built, music-first space” for electronic music, live acts and diverse cultural programming.
Although no line-ups have been revealed yet, ORIGIN has shared details of its weekly format. Fridays will be dedicated to live bookings spanning major acts and independent artists, while Saturdays will be split between daytime outdoor events and late-night house and techno sessions. Throughout the rest of the week, the venue will host club nights, live concerts, promoter partnerships, private events, and large-scale cultural activations.
ORIGIN will be equipped with a custom analogue KV2 Audio system, with a separate sound system designed for outdoor events. The club’s visual design has been led by Marc Dizon, known for his work at Brooklyn Mirage (now Pacha New York ), Brooklyn venue Output, Hakkasan in Las Vegas, and Sound in LA.
