Excited England fans pack out pubs across the country ahead of the Three Lions' World Cup quarter-final against Norway in Miami

Fans spilled out onto the streets in jubilant scenes after Jude Bellingham carried England into the World Cup semi finals with a 2-1 victory over Norway.

Huge crowds filled London 's Piccadilly in the early hours of Sunday morning with supporters seen climbing on statues and throwing pints into the air.

Others were seen mocking the Norwegians' Viking row celebration by sitting en masse in the street.

There appeared to be some arrests as police clashed with fans who had been partying hard in pubs and fan zones where the game was being screened.

England needed extra time to secure victory over Norway in Miami and a place in the final four of the World Cup.

They will now take on the winners of Argentina against Switzerland at 8pm on Wednesday.

There were tense scenes in London, Newcastle and Bristol at the 90-minute mark when both teams were level at 1-1 and the game headed into extra time.

But fans jumped onto tables and sent their beer flying when Bellingham scored for England.

'Even though it's a bit drizzly and overcast, a little bit of rain won't put us Geordies off.

'Everyone is confident that we can get the job done and march into the semi-final.'
