North West and Molly Santana cancel 14-date debut North American concert tour

North West and Molly Santana cancel 14-date debut North American concert tour

The abrupt cancellation of a highly publicized 14-date concert tour highlights the financial risks venues and ticketing platforms face when monetizing the untested live performance careers of celebrity offspring.

North West and Molly Santana have officially canceled their 14-date “Molly x North Kimokawaii Tour” just weeks before it was scheduled to begin. The co-headlining run was set to start on August 5 in Dallas, but nearly every date has now been removed from venue schedules and marked as canceled on major ticketing platforms.

Both artists confirmed the cancellation through statements on social media platforms. West expressed initial excitement about the collaboration but confirmed the shows are no longer happening, telling followers to expect alternative content soon.

Santana issued a formal apology addressing the financial disruption caused by the scrapped events. “I know a lot of you have taken time out of your busy schedules and spent your hard-earned money planning to be there,” she stated, adding that she hopes to see fans soon.

Ticketmaster marked the opening Dallas show at the House of Blues and an August 17 performance at Rebel in Toronto as canceled. Meanwhile, ticketing platform AXS lists an August 27 Los Angeles show as scrapped.

Almost all host venues have scrubbed the tour from their official digital schedules. The Midway in San Francisco remains the only location that still lists an August 25 performance, while the dedicated promotional website has been taken offline.

Announced on June 16, the itinerary represented a major attempt to translate digital influence into physical ticket sales. The run was slated to be the first headlining concert tour for West, who recently released a self-produced debut EP titled N0rth4evr.

Santana brought her own established discography to the partnership, anchored by her 2025 studio album Molly and Her Week of Wonders. She also recently expanded her industry footprint by appearing on the Drake track Ran to Atlanta, aiming to leverage these credentials into a stable touring operation.

For the live entertainment sector, the sudden withdrawal of a multi-city itinerary underscores the volatility of building tours around emerging internet personalities. While digital followings guarantee initial attention, converting that engagement into reliable physical ticket sales remains a complex financial challenge for promoters.
